A personal statement
"I like to think of myself as the 'tool lady' as, throughout many years of working with organizations, teams, and individuals confronted with difficult challenges, I have accumulated a toolbox of strategies to improve decision-making. My journey has taken me from engineering, my first career, to family therapy, a second career, and to become a mindfulness teacher and organizational change consultant, always in the pursuit of those tools that facilitate systemic and systematic change at the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and extrapersonal level. In my work with organizational systems in a variety of industries, and with businesses at different levels of maturity, I have learned that the new sciences of wisdom and mindfulness offer a unique opportunity for a radical change in the ways we make decisions in life, work, and community, a better way that improves our reasoning and makes us wiser. The Wisdom Project integrates what I have learned in my journey and offers it to those who are seriously committed to changing the ways we address the complex challenges of today's world. One project at a time, we can all become wiser. Let's get to it."
